Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent or Lead superintendent with experience in ground-up commercial and/or medical/healthcare construction projects. This role supports the Superintendent in managing all field activities and ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to complex and rewarding projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site construction activities.
- Ensure project schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols are adhered to consistently.
- Monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and crews to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Work closely with the Superintendent to maintain strong communication between field and office teams.
- Participate in site inspections to ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and project specifications.
- Address and resolve construction challenges promptly to avoid delays.
- Help manage daily field documentation, including progress reports and safety logs.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among all project participants.
Qualifications:
- 3+/ 7+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on commercial and/or healthcare/medical projects.
- Proven ability to assist in managing complex, ground-up construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, safety standards, and building codes.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to work with diverse teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- A proactive approach to learning and developing within the construction field.
